From a desire to not pay third-party apps to appreciate any part of the 1,420 square miles of public lands in Uinta County, Wyoming, I decided I should create a free alternative that works natively with my smartphone and can be used offline to reasonably confirm my location.
I’m sure others in the area have felt the same way. Fortunately, by opening this map on mobile, it should apply itself as a layer on your native Android Google Maps app. From there you can download the map for offline use and be able to use the app to navigate areas without service. These are capabilities, services, and information that is freely available for anyone to use, including me!
Also, I am totally not responsible if someone uses this to get themselves hopelessly lost or win some type of Darwin Award.
